For over 20 years the Rotary Club of Blacksburg has recognized an outstanding individual as the Blacksburg Rotary Club of Citizen of the Year. You may nominate outstanding Montgomery County  citizens for our 2011 Award simply by completing and returning the attached nomination form .

Citizen of the Year nominees must be a Montgomery County resident and also must be a non-Rotarian. Selection for this award will be based primarily on the nominee?s service to the community, as well as their character, business practices, and lifestyle activities that exemplify the Rotary ideal of  Service Above Self ,  and Rotary International?s Four Way Test :

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

If you know someone who might fit, do not let the nomination process be an obstacle.  All you have to do is fill out the form, and a member of the Blacksburg Rotary Club?s Vocational Service Committee may contact you with a few follow-up questions, if needed.
